Tide Me Over...
Tide Me Over...
Fall down in the snow...
A bit of classic 60’s print advertising today.
Lot’s of snow here in Northern California in the last few weeks. And considering that Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow today - yes, thank you, it is Groundhog Day - it certainly looks like we are in for a more normal winter than we’ve had in a few years.
So, today’s classic Union Pacific pitch to get tourists headed for it’s Sun Valley resort seems appropriate.
And considering that at one point in the late 60’s or early 70’s the image above could have been myself, a brother and my father all off for a day skiing at one of the various Lake Tahoe ski areas, it’s nostalgic as well.
And yes, I did not ski quite as much as I fell down in the snow. But it was still fun... I think.
