In and Around New Orleans Square

Taking my cue, as it were, from the album of the same name by the Side Street Strutters Jazz Band, today’s effort is a look at Disneyland’s New Orleans Square.

For many folks, this is their favorite area of the Park. With two of the most popular attractions - Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted Mansion - great dining of all types and some fun shops, it is easy to understand why.

(Note: This column first appeared here on Monday, August 25th, 2008.)

If you asked me if I was one of those who have a decided leaning toward the area, I would answer in the affirmative with out hesitation. And even though I have not actually visited the Big Easy myself, Disney’s version has a charm that is undeniable.

Now to the photos for the day. In no particular order...

So, as we sail down the River’s of America, we bid a fond “adieu” to New Orleans Square. At least, until the Columbia sails past on her next voyage.
