The Disneyland Finding Nemo Dream Tour:
Docking In Your Neighborhood
So it’s a bright, sunny, spring California morning and you’ve gone down to the corner Chevron station to top off the tank and pick up a cool beverage. And what should you find at the pumps? How about “The Finding Nemo Dream Tour” team fleet!
Disneyland has sent out a fleet of vehicles in search of Nemo to bring him back to Anaheim in time for the June 11th opening of the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage. It started the search (or tour) in Vancouver and is making stops at cities throughout the western states. Upcoming stops include San Jose, Stockton, Sacramento, Fresno, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Albuquerque and Tucson. Check this link for more details on stops in your area soon. The tour crew is adding information all the time, including entries into the Captain’s log.
If the tour visits your neighborhood, (as it did in San Ramon, CA on Monday, May 21st) there a several types of visits it may make. The first is a one-hour stop which features the Nemo Dream Mobile along with the Captain (Alex on this particular stop) and the rest of the crew.

In this one hour, guests had the chance to learn about the new attraction as well as check out the Dream Mobile and it’s fleet of support vehicles. Atop the Dream Mobile, you’ll find three of the Seagulls and Nigel the Pelican (from the movie, “Finding Nemo”). And yes, every time someone mentions the Submarine or Nemo, the Seagulls all chime in with their familiar refrain of “Mine!” Nigel also has a few words to say and may even answer a question or two.

During the stop, the crew has some brochures and stickers for everyone. And there may also be other items for lucky folks. (In San Ramon, all of the children were given a Chevron Car keychain.)

Along the way, the Nemo Dream Mobile has made a number of surprise stops visiting schools (and businesses) as part of Disneyland’s “Year of A Million Dreams” event. Captain Alex related how that very morning they had stopped at a school and an entire Third Grade class had been treated to a visit and show, including “Turtle Talk With Crush”. And at other locations, a few lucky children had even been given rides from their homes to school aboard the Nemo Dream Machine. That’s one cool ride in any ones book…
The Finding Nemo Dream Mobile prepares to dock!
The last kind of stop for the tour is the longer extended visit. And one of those is coming up in Sacramento on Sunday, May 27. From 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. the Nemo Dream Mobile will be part of the festivities at the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee in Old Sacramento on "J" Street between 1st and 2nd Streets. If you are able to stop by, expect a full day of activity from the crew of the tour, including visits with Nigel and Crush!
The Finding Nemo Dream support fleet features great graphics and the Angel Fish also from the film.
Check out the great graphics on the Nemo Dream Mobile and the rest of the fleet with plenty of friends – remember, “Fish are friends, not food!” – from “Finding Nemo”. (A great use of the process of “wrapping” vehicles rather than painting.)
